Stop for a while,
Keep your shoes on,
Walk,
Look around you:
Don’t they all look alike?
Don’t they all look like variations of colors splashed on a painting?
Some colorful, some cheerful,
Some dull, some indifferent and some faceless?
Doesn’t it feel like a theatrical, a play?
Some are good performers, some are not so good and some don’t fit in?
Sometimes you see their mouths open and close, yet you do not hear their voices, you do not feel marveled, you simply do not feel,
Or you might feel uneasy, unwell, un-amused, or shadowed by their intentions,
And Sometimes you just hear their voices without them speaking and feel their passion draw you to their characters?
What a challenge it is to see what you see, hear what you hear and feel as such; yet you cannot, except be in such a circle,
Now try to walk barefoot,
Walk on, look down, look up, and look around,
Feel the ground, the heat, the cold, and the pain in your feet:
Don’t you feel exposed?
It feels good; it is the chance to know the truth, about yourself and about your surrounding,
Those who are unafraid to walk “barefoot” truly make the colors stand out of the painting, show the charisma of the performers, express the story, beam their light,
Make you shine,
The pictures, the play, the theatrical, the paintings, the characters,
Will feel real if they are genuine, and you will not feel exposed,
They will feel unreal, and …you will feel exposed
When you feel grounded, you are more attuned, and you will be able to know, to learn, to feel, to enjoy your “barefoot” pace, and walk longer no matter the ground,
People, who walked barefoot in history, are beacons of light today,
They knew the truth, shared it and taught it to those, who were not afraid to walk barefoot too,
Let us celebrate freedom and get exposed,
Fearlessly as we surround ourselves with the light,
Let us walk barefoot and enjoy every challenge,
The only ones really exposed, are those who do not have the courage to walk barefoot,
And those who do, walk on inexhaustibly and leave a footprint behind.
You help the reader make a colorful imagination. Fantastic observations.

Love the analogy on footprint//impact on the world. Really agree with the poem but sometimes it is just so challenging to even leave a toeprint (okay this doesn’t sound to legitimate haha). 🙂 Also very good use of rhetorical questions it made the poem speak to me. 😀 Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for stopping by, and for your comment, agree with you, it is really challenging to leave a footprint in this world, let alone a “toe print” :), we can only keep trying and believing what we do will create good karma and energy that will benefit someone, something in this world.
Loved your blog by the way, you have a “delicate” choice of words that come out as a masterpiece. Glad we crossed path, and never stop trying to leave a memorable, loving footprint 🙂 in this world.
