The Beauty of Freedom

Fly, Fly, freely like a butterfly and enjoy what life has to bring; flap your wings up very high and join other butterflies making our sky so colorful, so beautiful and so enchanting, for there is nothing more joyful and more powerful than freedom.
Freedom brings peace, beauty and loads of smiles to my world….So smiles and butterflies my life will be and for all those who wish to join my world.

To a Butterfly

 by: William Wordsworth (1770-1850)

“Stay near me—do not take thy flight!

A little longer stay in sight!

Much converse do I find in thee,

Historian of my infancy!

Float near me; do not yet depart!

Dead times revive in thee:

Thou bring’st, gay creature as thou art!

A solemn image to my heart,

My father’s family!

Oh! pleasant, pleasant were the days,

The time, when, in our childish plays,

My sister Emmeline and I

Together chased the butterfly!

A very hunter did I rush

Upon the prey:—with leaps and springs

I followed on from brake to bush;

But she, God love her! feared to brush

The dust from off its wings.”

  1. I have loved Wordsworth since I first encountered his poetry as a little girl over 50 years ago. I am a sucker for the Romantics, and their notion of recalling the past through poetry. “Now, oft, when on my couch I lie…..”

    • Thanks Susan for following my blog and the like..I love words and I love to create stories, pictures, poems and even colours with words..and hence my blog..sometimes words come out as poems..am getting there 🙂 it will be a long journey until I can establish myself as a writer and a poet…I too love Wordsworth especially
      “My heart leaps up when I behold
      A rainbow in the sky:
      So was it when my life began;
      So is it now I am a man;
      So be it when I shall grow old,
      Or let me die!
      The Child is father of the Man;
      I could wish my days to be
      Bound each to each by natural piety.”

      It takes me back to my school days…and the great people and mentors, I have so much admiration for…

  3. A butterfly poem ,,,

    THE COLLECTOR

    When you talk
    The air becomes filled with butterflies
    And while you talk
    Surreptitiously
    I catch them in my hands
    And put them gently in my pocket
    And when I leave you
    I go home
    Take them gently from my pocket
    And arrange them
    Like this
    On a piece of paper
    So that when you find out what I am doing
    And no longer let them loose when I am there
    I can come home
    And remember …
