Beauty and Beyond—Painting with Words—A Dedication

I am sharing a post I wrote last year, to celebrate International Women’s day. Thank you to all those women who made a difference in my life and continue to do so…

Soul of a Gypsy......Welcome to my Journey

I usually close my eyes and words start flowing through my fingers like magic. This time around, the topic is very precious that my words are being weighed in divinity before I type. This topic is fragile and close to my heart, so writing this requires a lot of consideration as it concerns, the most precious, beautiful, gifted, considerate, delicate, yet powerful beings I have encountered in my journey so far. “They are real women who touched my life .” And so, let us listen to what I have to say and what will come out from my Gypsy Soul.

A dignified image, a portrait of colors,
Scents of courage that feed the senses,
A gentle warrior, armed with words of wisdom,
You are the representation of beauty, a woman who stands by her own word,
A magnificent light, an embodiment of zen, a force of nature,

Portrait of a real woman Portrait of…

Honour Your Word…

Standard

He told her lets make a promise that both of us will never break…and break he did of every part of her heart. They were young and so in love. But it is true when they say time changes everything and every one. So here is the story of a gypsy traveling in time…

During one of my Gypsy soul travels, I had landed in a place where my intuition, my gut feelings got impeded in a masquerade, and as I was enjoying the party, the dress ups, the music, the glitter, the dancing, I couldn’t make up at that time, the show was just a “bal masqué” and the lesson I learnt later on, it was just a dress up party, that I took too seriously and believed those characters behind the masks… anyways, seems like everyone had taken their part too seriously as well, and so cheers to them!

Life should go on I tell myself as I have to mend that gypsy heart of mine with every dawn, convinced that this too shall pass,

“Just dance with the music, enjoy the masquerade, honour your mask, for masks, just like words will fall off one day and will uncover what lies behind”.

Honour your word, for what do you get to lose? You might have thought that it is just a word, right?

A word you said, a promise you made, a hug you gave, a time you spent, a moment you shared, a hand you shook, can not be long forgotten, even if you might think so, or you might want to believe or make believe,

Don’t play the double standard game, it will come back to haunt you…wherever you are in life, a day will come and you will realise, this mask you had on, this act you put, is short lived,

You might have underestimated that person because you thought less of them, blinded by your ego and by your indifference,

That day, when you ignored, became cold, pretended you never said what you said, or intended what you said…

Words have memories you see…they get engraved in the universe, they fly in the air, they travel in space,

Words have power you see…they echo in the past, they shine in the moment and they travel in the future, then they flow back at you in the now, no matter when now will be…

Words are magic codes driven by intention, so say what you mean and mean what you say…words are like a boomerang,

Words are colour, words are sound, words are emotion, words are truth, words are real, words are passion, words are love…

Words are vibrations, so strong they can even change the shape of a snow flake,

Words are beautiful, sacred transactions, make them blessed, by the simple act of honouring your word.

This post was written 6 years ago and was never published the context was different. But since this topic is universal, I realised 6 years ago I had never thought I will publish it with such a cause in mind.

???????????????????????????????
Dear friends,
My expectations in life were reduced to zero, the day I decided to undergo tracheotomy for continuous mechanical ventilation, without which I couldn’t spare life’s end. Every day since that moment seems like a new birth in life for me.
Today, it’s my second birthday, and I’d like to share with you the experience I had during these two years. I could put end to my life, but it would be a big mistake. Life is beautiful even with so dark conditions. There is always something to do and succeed in it; and I haven’t done badly.
In the first year, I’ve wrote two books: Ma vie, mon histoire and Conseils pratiques pour la santé des enfants.
In the second year, I’ve signed them via Skype, from my bed and because of my physical conditions, during the French book exhibition of Beirut at the end of October 2012…

What if…?

What if?

What if today was the beginning of spring and the end of my Gypsy soul journey?
What if tomorrow is winter and the beginning of my adventure?

wandering

What if today, I truly find peace and tomorrow,
I will be remembered for my lost days, my lonesome trips, my plea for love?

What if I land in a place where I am not left alone, where every creature knows how to love,
where family is not a word, where sadness is non existent.

Today, I long for eternity.
I want to go back, I am ready.

words live on

What if life, will forgive me and I can be set free, to a place that knows no time, no pain, no fear, no hate, no commitment except that of love, of giving and of mastery.

Today, I am ready to go back,
and leave that memory.

words are eternal

What if, that time, is today?

Seduce me…

Seduce me, why don’t you,
Capture my mind with your intelligence,
Stimulate me with your knowledge,
Take me with you,
Let’s mark a spot in this universe.

You are such an enigma.

Gypsy soul: You are such an Enigma

Seduce me why don’t you,
Love me, for who I am,
Let’s travel together, to that unnoticed destination and make the ocean fall in love with us,
and the waves, oh those waves, cover our souls and revive our stories…

Seduce me, why don’t you,
Let this moment stand still and our hearts rejoice,
Love me, for who I am,
Let’s colour the clouds with our breaths,
The sky will feel jealous, the stars will unite and the moon, oh that lovely red blood moon, will cry…

Barefoot

Standard

Stop for a while,
Keep your shoes on,
Walk,
Look around you:

photo sources: google "walk"

photo sources: google
“walk”

Don’t they all look alike?
Don’t they all look like variations of colors splashed on a painting?
Some colorful, some cheerful,
Some dull, some indifferent and some faceless?
Doesn’t it feel like a theatrical, a play?
Some are good performers, some are not so good and some don’t fit in?
Sometimes you see their mouths open and close, yet you do not hear their voices, you do not feel marveled, you simply do not feel,
Or you might feel uneasy, unwell, un-amused, or shadowed by their intentions,
And Sometimes you just hear their voices without them speaking and feel their passion draw you to their characters?
What a challenge it is to see what you see, hear what you hear and feel as such; yet you cannot, except be in such a circle,

Now try to walk barefoot,
Walk on, look down, look up, and look around,
Feel the ground, the heat, the cold, and the pain in your feet:

“Walk Barefoot, leave a foot print behind”

Don’t you feel exposed?
It feels good; it is the chance to know the truth, about yourself and about your surrounding,
Those who are unafraid to walk “barefoot” truly make the colors stand out of the painting, show the charisma of the performers, express the story, beam their light,
Make you shine,

The pictures, the play, the theatrical, the paintings, the characters,
Will feel real if they are genuine, and you will not feel exposed,
They will feel unreal, and …you will feel exposed
When you feel grounded, you are more attuned, and you will be able to know, to learn, to feel, to enjoy your “barefoot” pace, and walk longer no matter the ground,

People, who walked barefoot in history, are beacons of light today,
They knew the truth, shared it and taught it to those, who were not afraid to walk barefoot too,

Let us celebrate freedom and get exposed,
Fearlessly as we surround ourselves with the light,
Let us walk barefoot and enjoy every challenge,
The only ones really exposed, are those who do not have the courage to walk barefoot,
And those who do, walk on inexhaustibly and leave a footprint behind.

Sound of Silence

Standard

Sitting by the beach,
Captivated by the twinkling water,
I close my eyes and all I see;
Is a beauty so divine, hidden beyond,
The sound of silence.

moonlight by the beach

moonlight by the beach

Waves rise and fall,
The moon shines above me,
Leaving my shadow behind,
Tides wash through my feet,
Such a bliss to be touched by mother nature,
To hear her song, feel her tenderness, her eternity,
In the sound of silence.

As I melt in this beauty,
I dwell in my inner self and I see a reflection of her,
I hear her call,
I watch her dance,
I feel her touch,
I sense her warmth, such an expression of love,
I grasp her forgiveness,
In the sound of silence.

She caresses my heart, she moves my soul, she welcomes me,
Such a pure flow of generosity,
She whispers;
And I breath in, my dream,
She whispers;
And I Know.

In this night, the sky has shined its light,
And my mother, has washed away my sorrow,
And I regained my trust, my hopefulness, my star,
I want to stay in her shelter forever,
I want to hear her comforting rhythm, listen to her music,
I want to linger in this serenity, I want to stay and hear that sound of purity,

Awakening

Awakening

But I have to go back,,
I promised her to go back, I promised her to stay in touch,
I promised her, I will keep listening to and hearing;
Our sound of silence.
